Although Squirt isn't a red ear slider, I don't know where else to go. She (or he, too young to sex accurately) has some white crust-like stuff on her plastron. Is it fungus? I can scrape it off with my nail. Here is a picture of her:







* Update: I cannot "scratch" the stuff off in the center of her plaston, but on the side I can. On the second scute from the bottom on the right (third picture), you can see where I was able to scratch it off (on the very right of the scute).

It's likely fungus… a clearer pic might help though. Any white surf on the carapace? Does she bask? Is she able to completely dry off, including her plastron?

Yes, but her UVB bulb needs to be replaced..

UVB probably doesn't have any effect on fungus.

*edit - I just noticed your signature. Fungus is contagious, so you might want to check your other turtles for infections as well.
