All you can do is take them to a herp vet. That will be the best thing for them.

First off, we need to know more about your set up! How big is it, what are the basking and water temps, do you have a UVB bulb? There is a sticky at the top of this forum with plenty of questions for you to answer. I would say that some things for you to do in the meantime would be to up the water temp to about 82 degrees F. Also, if you have the means to do so, you might want to seperate them. In this case, both turts already seem to be affected, so it isn't as important as getting them to the vet.

If you don't think they'll make it, try your best to find an earlier appt. with another vet. Let us know what the vet says.

No one would see them sooner so I had to keep the appt I already had. They are still hanging on!!! :D I prayed for them and I am hoping the Vet can figure out the problem and get my babies better soon. I had two of the same kind in the past, infact I picked out these two mainly because they were almost identical to the turtles I had as a child that I loved Dearly. I had them for 9 years, my dad got them for me when I was really little, the thing is and I hope no one judges me for this but With Eddie and Moesha my past turtles I never had a UV Light or heater for them and they lived for 9 years, I only filled their tank with like 3-4 Inches water. So then a few weeks ago I bought Chase and Bailey, the lady told me to fill the aquarium which is 10 gallon to almost the top, I dont have a UV Light or heater, I never knew they needed that cause my other ones were the same kind and were very healthy, I was little and never changed them as much as I should and my mom always got on my case to do it not that I didnt love them I was just little and irresponsible. I have cleaned out my new turtles aquarium every single day I thought I was doing everything right but sounds like I was doing everything wrong, I am afraid I am the reason they might be ill, please write back and let me know everything they need to be healthy I will buy it all!! All I want is them better ASAP. Thanks Also could it be the water? Does Anyone use Spring water???

Don't stress yourself our over your care from the past and blame yourself for this. Sometimes when people buy turtles they are already sick and just don't show the signs immediately. Before you blame yourself, make sure you have read through all of the care information on this site and make sure that you are following the general guidelines. If you have any questions about the things you read, be sure to ask. In the meantime, hang on for the vet and keep us updated.

I'd lower the water level if it's almost to the top, and I'd get a water heater to keep the water temp constant for starters. You need to do some reading on this site, and reading some of the posts on the forums would also help...

All turtles necks enlarge when they breath, so don't be worried about the bull frog thing.
