I have had both turtles since they were tiny. They have always had the exact same conditions. Tupac seems to look typical of a red eared. Biggie on the other hand doesnt look great. His shell seems to be discolored a lot. The top half is light color but the bottom by his tail is almost all dark. His shell seems to look a lot more frail. He has always been the more aggressive one, they have been separated for the past few years. I had them in a 150 g with the complete set up with docks and heaters and filters and his shell was in the same condition as it is now. If needed ill dry em out to take pics

Biggie is just melanistic, which is normal for male RES. Is the shell actually more frail or just feels like it?

I love the cat watching shot.

Also, what a neat idea for a tank setup!

Thanks steve!... I didnt think it was anything serious just because since he was small he was a different color scheme..
Apondfortimmy we actually just finished it, well almost alteast we are planning on staining it to match the room.. Both boxes on the side have each cannister filter in it and the top of the aquarium is cased in with pexi glass.. We had to be creative since we are on the 3rd floor..
