im a pretty young person and know very little about turtles.

My turtle is always and constantly on his basking log, no matter if the light is on or off and i havnt seen him/her eat for a while now, im not sure wat to do but this turtle isnt new either, ive had him for about 3 years and his tank is pretty big, he also shares his tank with another equally aged turtle. He is a red eared slider who is about 3 and a half years old.

I'm very worried because i lost a pet snake due to an unknown health problem! PLZ HELP! if u have any idea at all plz say so, he wont get off his log when the light is off or to eat or anything. his shell is very dry and he wont eat from my hand or anything as i tried to make him eat without getting wet. I put him in the water once by picking him up but like 2 minutes later he was back on his basking log. plz plz help me THX

Things like water temp, basking temp, ambient air temp etc are crucial to answering your question. To be honest i havent heard of that problem before. What happens if you take his basking log out of the tank? Is your other turtle eating and swimming normally?

I havnt taken his basking log out of the tank yet, ill try that and the other turtle is eating, swimming and acting normal.

How is the turtle doing?

If you take the log out, what is the other turtle supposed to do for basking???

What is the temp of the water?

He can't eat from your hand because he has to be in water to eat...

If he's still just basking and not eating, I'd separate him from the other turtle and give him his own set-up with the water temp 82F and the basking area 9-10 degrees higher. And I'd do that until I could find a herp vet to take him to.
