Baby Sulcata tortoise with puffy back legs /just drags them

Hey guys i rescued a baby sulcata tortoise that has puffy back feet and when he walks he just drags them. What do you think it could be? Is there anything i can do before i take him to the vet on saturday

Poor thing
Any chance of getting him into the vet before Saturday? In the past I have asked vets to call me with any last-minute openings/cancellations and it usually works out.
