I just got 2 baby RES and one of them started eating normally while the other hasn't eaten anything in 5 days. What do I do? I'm worried about him.

I just got them 1 week ago.
Both are about 6 cm
Water temp is at 27

They could just be getting used to their new home. Some turtles react differently to being moved to a new home. When they get stressed out they may stop eating. I would make sure that the water temp is no lower that 78 degrees F. Also make sure they have a place to get out of the water and bask in a UV light. Try not to add too many things right away if that seems to stress him out. Add them gradually and several weeks apart so they can get used to them.

Another thing you could try is feeding in separate containers.

You could feed the one who is eating in another container. It may be that by the time the shy turtle is ready to eat, the bolder one has consumed all the food.

Since it's been that long, try to use the stuff here: http://www.redearslider.com/entice_eating.html

You might have to take out the one that is eating while you try to get this one to eat.
