So I came home today and zim had some blood on his face after a quick inspection I noticed he has a pin hole right under his mouth its so tiny I can bearly see it.
It is directly under his mouth . I have no idea how this could have happened there is literally nothing in his tank but the basking dock and it is smooth no jagged or sharp edges.
I washed it off and soaked up the blood with a q-tip but it was still bleeding a little. It seems to bleed when he stretches his neck out. I put some a&d ointment on it (I don't have Neosporin) and I have him dry docking on the bath tub. Please help what might this be and what should I do. It is def a little sensitive to him

Here is what I am going to do.
I have to cycle bleach they his tank tonight anyways because I have some insect large in there *gross*
So I went to the store and got some Neosporin I am going to clean the area apply Neosporin and dry dock him for the night. In the am ill put him a bowl of water to feed then clean the wound and if it's safe put some liquid bandage on the hole. If he opens his mouth I'm going to wash his mouth out as well because he's gotten some blood in there idk if the hole goes they into his mouth or if he just transferred it while stressing out and moving around I can't tell he won't leave his mouth open for long enough just to quick snap at me for half a second.

Do you mean insect larvae? Are you sure it's not planaria? What do they look like?

Yes insect larvae.
Little black wormmy look things. I also saw some dead mosquito fly thing on top of the tank just after seeing the worms. Not actual mosquitoes but the big fly insects that look like a mosquito. I've also noticed some other flying insects in the room before so could be any of them really. I have no idea what planiera is. I've never had any sort of bugs or worms in my turtle tanks before so I'm only slightly if at all knowledgeable to them. All I know is both my turtle tanks are bare bottom no fish, plants, subtraye of any kind and aims tank has nothing in it. Just him and the water. I do keep snails in my slider tank tho

Ok so I Google pics and read a few things def don't think they are planaria. They are not flat but tubular. They are jet black and about the length of a standard rice grain but thinner then rice.

You can probably skip the liquid bandage. How much blood was there?

To me seemed like tons but I always think blood looks like way more then it is truthfully it wasn't a ton but it did take a while to clot then he opened it back up trying to escape the tub. He is calm now in a dark room temp room in a 30 gal cooler with no lid dry docking until the morning

It has been cleaned and has stopped bleeding and I put Neosporin on it. He would open his mouth enough for me to check the inside but I clear what I could with a qtip

If your real loud he gets scared but he is generally not a shy basker. As far as today goes I'm not sure for right now he was groggy seeming when I woke up so he didn't eat but he swim around the bowl for a bit then I put him back to dry dock him when I left cause his tank is still being de wormed no excess blood today. He seems to be enjoying the dry docking cause he has some towles and he's hiding under them
