This is freddy, i've had her for over 20 years. for the last 15 of those years, she has had this brown color to her shell. She has been sick once for a week, with an eye infection a few years ago, but never has stopped eating. When i got her when was 6, she was 3 inches and had a green shell. but it changed over time. Is this normal?

It looks like an old and on-going fungal infection. Has the shell ever been cleaned? Does she shed regularly?

There's is a small chance of a rarer form of Melanism here, but we'd need more pictures, though I think Steve is correct.
