Hi Everyone,

I got 2 RES (Tomy and Ton-chan) a week ago and I am concerned about Tomy. I notice that his/her shell has white stuff on it.

I cannot tell if it's shedding, or has infections like fungus or pyramiding.

Can anyone have a look at his/her photo, and let me know what it might be?

While Tomy is a little deformed. Nothing bad but his scutes aren't alligned like they should be.

I don't know about the white stuff though.

Is it something that I should be worried too or is it normal to be a bit deformed?

The deformity is the scute pattern and it's not a problem. They usually don't shed when they're so young so it's possible there is something wrong. If the scute underneath is intact, then I wouldn't worry.
