What have you been trying to feed it? I feed them both a mixture of lettuce, carrot and sometimes fruits along with turtle pellets

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms? One turtle isn't growing as fast as the other.


I have isolated the smaller turtle and fed him and also observed him eating more that the other, larger turtle.

I'm hearing strange noises comming from the tank, like chirping. I'll look and neither turt is injured or near the other one. I don't know which one is making the noise.

Also, this might be stupid, but I have guppies in the tank with them and they have now reproduced. That wouldn't bother them would it?

Was the chirping very brief? Both my turts made a similar noise (more of a croaking noise) this past summer. We had a very hot summer in NY and I'm not sure if that contributed to the cause, but it hasn't happen since. I'd just keep a very close eye on them for now.

Yes, it's very breif and I've been watching them to see if either is attacking the other and I have not seen any behavior like that.

The main thing would to be keep a sharp look out for any symptoms. For me, lethargy and loss of appetite are the most important to look out for.
