She has been spending most of her time in the bottom corner of the tank just laying there with her eyes closed. Seen her bask once briefly this morning until I scared her but I don't know why she isn't swimming around and being her usual active self. I took her out of her tank today to get a little exercise and she was pretty active on the floor but not active in her tank. I've checked the temperatures basking and water and everything is normal. I know its hard to say what can be wrong with her but do turtles have these phases? I have never had any problem with her at all since she was a baby. Is their anything I should be worried or not worried about. Please help if possible. Thanks in advance.

How long have you had the 10.0 UVB and how far from the basking dock is it? Is there a screen between the 10.0 and the basking dock? Does her eyes look irritated?

I have had it for about 4 months and their is a screen separating in between. She has always spent majority of the day basking, maybe I need to replace her UVB bulb. I checked her eyes and they don't look irritated at all. I let her out of the tank this morning and she seemed fine, being very speedy and everything. Just seems less active these past couple days.

Usually the UVB bulbs should get replaced every 6 - 8 months. So you have some time on it. It's good you have a 10.0 with a screen. Without the screen it could have been irritating her eyes. Try bumping the water up to 80 and the basking to 90 and see if that helps. Do you test her water? She might be to big for 15 gallons of water. Can you give her an extra 5 - 10 gallons. What type of filter are you using? As res grow so do their bio load. It might be to much for the low water amount causing bad water quality.

Bump up the water temperatures a little. The change of seasons could be having an effect on her.
