My RES just laid eggs?

There are these white little ball looking things floating in my RES's tank. She's about 5.5 in. long, and a little over a year old. I don't have any males, and she has never been with one. I know she can lay unfertilized eggs. I just don't know if they'll be the same size as fertilized eggs. I am really afraid. Is that what the white little balls are - eggs? Please Help Me ASAP!!

Yes, they can lay unfertilized eggs. Sounds too young to lay eggs though. Have a pic?

Just take them out and throw them away. They will not be fertilized if there is no male. Please do send a pic so we can confirm they are eggs.

Oh, she's 5.5 inches. Then, yes, she can lay eggs.

I have never seen eggs float though. Are you sure shes only a year? That seems pretty big for one year I think
