Alright so. I have four little baby red ear sliders, they're awesome. And they all have different personalities. Right, back to the topic.
One of my baby turtles, Kyouta, suddenly became blind and I noticed this last night as I was cleaning the tank. It didn't react when I poked my finger around his face, or flinch or even acknowledge it... It made me reaaaallyyyy sad. I tried to feed it myself, but he kept on missing, after like, an hour and a half i stopped and let it sleep. The next morning, (this morning) I was at it again and he took some nibbles. It kinda gave me hope.
I realized last night he sorta had something wrong with one of his front legs, like it was kind of curled into his shell. But that wasn't even the problem, when I put him in water with my other babies, he just floated there, and his legs didn't touch the floor. He was just... there. I got scared and put him in a separate tank with low water where he is now.
Now this is why I came here, he floats there, almost playing dead or sleeping, and then randomly wakes up and jabs his head out of the water like he was jaws, and erratically opens his mouth really wide, as if he's screaming and in pain, and swims around, blinded, running into the walls of the small tank, and makes an abrupt stop and plays dead again. I'm so scared, he's doing it a lot. Hopefully he's just sick and it'll pass.
But, my mom says sometimes pet's die (oh god.) If it does sound like he's dying.. I just want to know why, and what happened to him. Like i said, all my babies have different personalities and he seemed like the leader of all of the rest of the turtles
Okay, i hope this didn't sound so confusing. Well yeah, thanks.
