Urgent Care :: shell segments missing from my RES

I went to feed my turlte yesterday and noticed she is missing several segments ( not just shutes but the whole segment) and tonight she had a couple more fall off. I called around and I am told to do a sulfa bath, is that all I can do?



How big is your turtle? she is about 5'' long
How long have you had it? a few months, it was found in a customers back yard.

What is the water temperature? 72
Did you use a thermometer? yes
Are you using a water heater? no
How much water is in there? about 15 gallons
Are you using a water conditioner? yes
Are you using any filtration? yes

What is the basking temperature? 90
Is there a basking light? yes
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on? yes
What kind is it or what is it made out of? a rock
Is there a UVB light?
no just uva
What have you been trying to feed it? reptomin, and freeze dried shrimp
When was the last time your turtle ate? today

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure? 25 gallon
Is the tank near a window? close to one but not dirrectly
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity? no

Have you read the Basic Care section? yes
Have you searched the forums for similar situations? yes

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms? other than his shell falling off and a lot of algee no

Can you post a picture? I not sure what you mean by "whole segment" because I would consider a scute a whole segment.
