I got a question about my RES. He seems to be acting normal and bask often, basking temp is about 90-94F. Eats well. Doing water changes weekly. Have a canister filter. Temperature is about 76-77F. I think he is no older then a a few months. I feed him 2-3 Turtle sticks from Tetra and sometimes I feed him some cut up grapes or Strawberries.

I noticed some stuff coming off of him. I believe he is shedding. It looks a bit excessive but I'm not sure if it is normal or not.
I have attached some photo if anyone can take a look and see if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,
Mike

Yea that is normal for a growing turtle. Everything looks good. Shell growth looks smooth so far so your doing a good job on feeding him.

Looks normal to me too. I would check to see if any of the rocks in his tank are too small for him.

What do you mean by "check to see if any of the rocks in his tank are too small for him"?

He is concerned the gravel in the bottom of the tank might have pieces that are small enough for your turtle to swallow.. which is very dangerous
