Urgent Care :: sick or sumthin else?

hey my neon is acting very strange he is kind of floating on top of water eatingin good quantity and is not very active!plzz help me identifying what has happened to him

It will help if you answer the questions in the sticky.... but:

1) Is your turtle floating to a side?

2) Does your turtle swim in circles?

no it is neither swiming in circles neither floating to a side it is swimming finely but cant go to the bottom

Whats the water temperature? Are both your turtles together? How big is he?

Put some food that sinks, mini carrot cubes do. Can he swim down if he tried?

Try dropping some food he really likes on the bottom and see if he can submerge by himself.

If you gently push him under water, does he bob up again like a cork?

yes it just bobs up!and cant go to bottom

Has he been this way since you got him? If so, it sounds like he has chronic respiratory disease. If this a recent behavior, it's possible he has gastrointestinal upset (gas).
