hi all,

i am concerned that my turtle might have swallowed a plastic piece that is fairly large. It part of the suction cup that holds an airline. I found the suction cup at the bottom but this other piece missing. i've looked everywhere.

the piece is maybe about 1 cm and very hard with some distinct edges. my turtle is about 10 years old so he's pretty big. i'd imagine he could eat it but i dont know.

he seems to be acting normally. he eats without problem and is very active. i've been watching him really closely now though and haven't seen him poop though after he eats. perhaps i am over observing.

not sure if i should be concerned and when i should take any action. i guess this could come out through his system if he did eat it since i hear they accidentally eat rocks but this can't be easy to poop out.

any suggestions and much appreciated!

Hey Jeff, I think an x-ray would be the only way to tell for certain. How long ago did he eat it?

In addition to observing, I would research herp vets incase you need their services. Good luck!
