Hi everyone,

I have a 70 gallon tank with two 3.5 inch RES. Recently i came across a 2 year turtle (5 inch) living in a 15 gallon tank.

I have convinced the owner of that RES to let me have it. But right now i only have one tank with 2 turtle in it. And i was wondering if i can put the older RES in the 70 gallon with two smaller ones. I don't want the older turtle killing my ones.

So please advise me what i should do ?

you shouldnt mix them. odds r aggression will start. you can always try and see what happens but keep in mind your 70gallon will soon be too small for your 3.5in turtles. adding a 5" and it IS too small

Welcome. You'd want to quarantine the new one for about 3 months if you were going to introduce them to a community tank. However, the tank you have now is barely big enough for the two you have. Inadequate space will most likely cause aggression. You could use a Rubbermaid storage container temporarily (a stock tank would be better), but the three of them really shouldn't be together.
