Urgent Care :: my turtles arent very active

my turtles hide most of the time. is there something wrong? oh yeah and i found a red worm thing in the poop .. is that bad? i am not a qualified vet but that doesnt seem normal. and i have two of them so how do i found out which one pooped the red worm? or did the worm get into the tank? (its outside ) and my turtles dont bask much anymore. is there something wrong? thanks for the info.

Can you give use more details about the setup?

You might want to take a stool sample to a herp vet. It would be analyzed for the type of parasite the turtle has and the appropriate medication would be given. Since you don't know which turtle the worm came from, they both should be treated. The tank should also be cleaned/disinfected.

As for the hiding, how long have you had them? Do they hide when they see you coming? What's the water temp and basking area temp?

i have had them for a couple of weeks. and they are more active now. but they usually hide when they see me coming.

That sounds fairly normal. Once they get used to you, they'll swim to you and start with endless begging
