I made a post almost a year ago about the same thing and everyone said it was a retained shed. He still seems incredibly healthy but it has never gone away and has gotten worse. Is this fungus or a really bad retained shed or what? I don't know what's going on but here are some pics I hope some one can tell me exactly what it is and hopefully what I can do.

He's about 6 inches in a 55gallon. I have a a cascade 1000 filter with bio media and the tank is cycled and levels checked. He's on a diet of reptomin turtle pellets by tetra and fresh veggies from the list on this site. And some times some anacharis and live fish from the list on this site.

I made a DIY basiking platform made from cork bark and pvc pipe and he gets up there fine and basks every day under his heat lamp and uvb bulb.

I also have an appropriate sized water heater for the tank and all the temps for water and basking area are monitored and controlled.

It's a fungal/yeast infection. Shedding will help, and if you can get silver sulfadiazine cream, it could help tremendously.

Take him outside for some unfiltered sunlight.
