When jojo is swimming in his tank and sticks his nose out to breath it sounds like he has a stuffy nose or difficult breathing like wheezing.. his mouth is never open.. just through his nose. When I take him out of the tank he his fine.. no open mouth breathing and no stuffy nose sounds. His physical activity seems fine eat, swimming he should be basking. Im thinking of installing another filter into the tank just because i think the one i have is too small the amount of water so because of that the water gets dirty fast. Right now he is walking around my room actively... curiously looking around. What do you think is wrong?
basic info:
He is 1 to 2 years old
There is a uvb lamp no heating
I have big river rocks
I put in some guava and lettuce earlier the tank is 20 gallons i believe
temperautre
I have has the window open for a couple of days because it's been really hot and stuffy in my room due to increase in temperatures so im not sure if it could have been any drafts or whatever.
anyways thats basically all i can think of thanks guys! :)

I think that's just normal breathing. Turtles hold their breath underwater, so after
a while, you'll hear wheezing when they gasp for air quickly right after resurfacing.

As long as everything else is normal with him and he seems healthy I agree with kemul it is normal.
