On the yellow front part of the shell (sorry, I can't talk today) by its left front arm there is a circular white spot on the shell. When I first saw it (hadn't seen my turtle in almost exactly a week) I immediately thought it was shell rot.

I tried to treat it like I treated her shell rot on the op of the shellpreviously but this would not rub off when I even tried to scrape it with a metal non pointy utensil (it is right by her head and arms and she kept waving them around!) I poured hydrogen peroxide on it, let her dry out or 2 hours and now she is sleeping

Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be?
I hope to post some pics up tomorrow if I can get a camera

Don't scrape at the shell. Don't pour hydrogen peroxide on your turtle.

Post a pic of the shell dry showing what you're talking about.

My turtle had a white spot on the top of his shell before. It didn't go away for a month. I was told to rub on a bit of polysporin. I did that for a few days and then the white spot fell off and his shell was fine underneath.

hmmmm, thank you I will try that, I should hopefully have a camera this weekend, post pictures up by monday or tuesday
She developed another 3 that look just like it and another weird one of the top of her shell

I am thinking it might be some kind of rot because it makes alittle hole in the shell and bubbles when I put hydrogen peroxide on it (on only 2 of the spots, the other biggest oldest one isn't spreadinf and doesn't bubble when peroxide is put on it)

DONT PUT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE ON YOUR TURTLE! I can imagine you using anything to scrape at the shell of your turtle could potentially hurt her especially since it was close to her head like you said. Check out a post my novroz she had a white spot on her turtles shell as well and shes treating it with Silver Sulfadiazine Cream. check it out

Ow wow...please don't use hydrogen peroxide on your turtle!!

If it's really rot shell you should smell it 1st...rot shell has an unpleasant smell...and you can gently press it to feel is it soft or not. if it isn't smelly and soft...maybe she has fungus infection like mine.

I recently have the same problem too (Moose already give the introduction there) and I treat her with cream for fungus...in needs patience to do it but it works...5 days later, the fungus has reduced.

Maybe you can see my thread and make sure is your turtle having the same problem or not.

And from my experience...Hydrogen Peroxide is not save for living creature...please avoid it. And scraping with metal is also not a wise thing. Kroten has shell rot when I 1st bought her, I didn't really looking for a healthy turtle when I bought her...she came to me so I chose her, but when I got home I realized her shell was soft...all I do is give her water an antibiotic for water species...and that helps her a lot (plus a lot of basking under the sun)

Is where I got the instructions for treating my turtle. plus youtube videos - especially this one (I am not using a pocket knife! I would not risk her stabbing herself!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM9plELDVNA

When she has shell rot on the top of her shell i used this method and it worked great! This is different than that shell rot. So like novroz said it could be a fungal infection!

The shell is not soft, has no unpleasant odour (like the previous shell issue she had - which I am sure was shell rot)

What can cause a fungal infection? I have been cleaning her tank weekly since this happened and leaving her out for a minimum of 2 hrs a day not counting the basking time - she is a big basker!

Unfortuantely I cannot find silver sulfadiazine cream anywhere in my area (I have looked) and a vet is nto an option right as I am unemployed (so is my fiance) and we have a two week old baby! The turtle is also not living with me - she is at my parents and I visit weekly

Which cream did you use to treat the fungus?
What else did you do to cure it?

I used the same cream that my father used for his skin fungus...and it works. MAYBE all kind of fungus treatment will work as long as we don't put the turtle back into water before cleaning it up
