Hey all,

sorry for all the posts but i thought I could help you;

I have had the bugs for a while and through three tank switches they are finally gone...here is my advice.

1. If you have an underwater filter (with non removable parts) and you get the bugs, ditch the filter and buy the canister. You will never get the bugs out of that stupid filter unless I guess you bleach it like crazy (which i dont suggest).

2. Keep all food in a container WITHIN a bag, to prevent bug attraction...also windex the area around the tank (not inside to harm your animal)...to kill off the food.

3. Most important, if you have a canister, buy those pipe cleaner things AND GO TO TOWN....the bugs live within the tubes. (you might even buy new tubes).

4. Finally, make sure you net any dirt in the tank and syphon it regularly. Its a pain in the @$$ but once you get rid of them (as hopefully i have) IT IS SPECTACULAR.

love ya

dont use "@$$", there are kids on the forums, including myself.

Second, this is not urgent care.....this would be more general care...

Third, thanks for the info, just make sure its in the right section.

my apologies for any kids i offended, peace and love.

2. If you had the bugs, you would know this is "urgent care." Until your room is infested with drain flies, you dont know torment.
