I don't have much transportation or areas I can go to, to get cures for my turtle. (No car  )

I've read about these diseases my turtle have, Eye Infection on one of my turtles and both have White spots, Fungus I believe.. The One with Eye Infection is getting worse.. it has the most white spots and I believe it'll never get better.. Petsmart here I don't think supply any cures I can use for these illnesses. I read I needed to get Diluted Boric Acid.. or Repti Turtle Sulfa Dip.. but have no clue where to get those. Can anyone show me or inform me where I can get one? Thank you.

Can you post pictures of your turtles by any chance? The white spots you talk about--are they soft and smelly? If they are your turtle might have shell rot. It could also be a fungus like you suggested... Is your turtle's eye puffy or swollen? Ive heard of people using drops of cod-liver oil to help with eye infection. To help with fungus you can use betadine or sufates. Big als carry sulfates but theyre in pill form I believe. Call your local herp vetenarian and he/she will be able to sell you the drugs you need or will direct you somewhere you can purchase them.

Welcome. How long have you had your turtles, and how big are they? How long have your turtles had these conditions?

Where are you located? If there's a Petsmart near you it doesn't sound like you're all that far away from things...

From what you wrote, finding a herp vet and taking your turtles for treatment would be the best thing to do. (There's a post with links on locating one nearest you at the top of this forum.)

Since you asked for specific info on locating products to treat your turtles yourself (not advised), I've seen the Sulfa Dip sold at both Petco and Petsmart near me. Depending on how bad the fungus is, salt water baths in aquarium salt might help. But if you try either and don't see any immediate improvement, you really should set up a vet appointment.

For the eye infection, you can buy boric acid (it's a powder) at a drug store or pharmacy. For eye infections, make a solution of 97% distilled water (don't use tap water) and 3% boric acid. Clean the affected eyes 2X a day with the solution. There is also a product called Clear Eyes by Zoo-med (I think) you can buy to put in the infected eyes. (Petsmart should sell it as well.) Again, if you do try either and there's no immediate improvement , take your turtles to a herp vet.

The question I have to ask, though, is why do your turtles have these conditions? What is their set-up like--tank size, lighting, filter, basking area, water and basking area temps, etc.)? What are they being fed?

Check these links for a qualified vet:

Also check local reptile/exotics clubs or organizations. Check with local vets to see if they know of a herp vet...
