I went to Petsmart today and bought a decoration for my turtle's tank. It's like a small reef with a snail on top and some plants on it. Well i just noticed my turtle liked it and would play around it, but here's what's strange. It faces it and starts to flap his front feet like crazy! It looks like fish flapping, it's crazy how fast he does it. Please! I don't know what this is!

That's natural behaviour. Usually it's directed at other turtles/fish in the tank. In your case he's just discovering something new in his home and showing the new 'friend' who's boss.

When a turtle behaves that way towards another turtle, it can be a territorial issue, or part of the mating ritual.

Both my turtles do this to eachother, fish, and new items in the tank.
