Urgent Care :: BLEEDING!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I LIVE REALLY FAR FROM A VET AND HAVE NO RIDE RIGHT NOW --- BUT PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO BEFORE I GET THERE --- TAFFY JUST TOOK A REALLY HARD FALL AND WHEN SHE WAS FINALLY MOVING I NOTICED SHE WAS BLEEDING FROM THE MOUTH.... HELP PLEASE.

How is she now? Are you still seeing bleeding from the mouth?

When you say she was finally moving, was she unconscious for a while?

If it were me, I'd try to have her seen by a vet. She could be bleeding internally. Keep a close eye on her in the meantime.

Any update?
I've had a musk turtle in the same situation. It climbed over the side of the tank and fell over and was bleeding from the mouth a little. I didn't take it to the vet, and for a few days it had trouble submerging underwater like it had an air pocket or something. Buy the third day it was fine without any treatment. This was 2 months ago and it's still live and healthy today.
I'm not saying it's the same "exact" situation, but if you can't take it to vet, you can't. Just wait it out and hope for the best.

Thanks for the concern. I took her to the vet...she is definitely bleeding internally - part of the shell is cracked and it's bloody there. They cleaned her up and gave her a shot and gave me a pack of 4 shots to give her every 3 days. They also gave me things to clean her wound. Unfortunately, when I try to clean her, she gets really antsy and begins to bleed from her mouth some more. I can actually see redness, which indicates bleeding, when I look at her shell from underneath her. She eats and swims and things seem fine, until I take her out for her cleaning. I have to dry dock her for two hours and because she gets really fussy too, she bleeds even more. It's really bad guys...was a really nasty fall.
I'm supposed to take her back in 2 weeks.

You didn't say where the crack was, and I know this is easier said than done, but try not to stress her when you clean the shell. If the vet told you to dry dock her for two hour periods, perhaps keeping her in the dark would calm her (if it's not too cool where you are); she might settle down and go to sleep.

Thank you...just gave her a shot, and she would only allow me to put it in the arm she got it the first time (and the doctor said I should alternate) but other than that, she is fine!! Thank you all again for the good thoughts and concern. She is eating normally, she is playing normally and even when stressed, there is no more bleeding!!! When I dry dock her, I do turn out all the lights and make sure no one goes in there to bother her and I have a heat lamp over her - after several minutes, she calms down and falls asleep. I think she will be just fine!!

So happy you made it to the vet and she's doing fine. Mine didn't have any cracks. Your situation sounds like it was a lot worse.
With a cracked shell i'm surprised the vet decided to have you dry dock for only 2 hour periods, but sounds like he's doing a good job, and he's the Dr.

Oh My Gosh! But a happy ending at least. I wouldn't have been able to sleep if that happened and couldn't go to the vet right away. Hweew. Good times.
