My turtle is a couple months old. Several weeks ago, he had a skin infection, and I used sulfur bath. He should be ok now. But I don't know y his thumb nail seems like it's gone. Will it ever grow back?!

Hi. Welcome to the forum!

How deep does it look like it is gone? Is there any fragment of the nail?

Please answer the questions in the sticky. That will give us an idea of the conditions.

Pictures would also be nice. :)

It just looks like it's missing the nail. He has no problem swimming and stuff. But will it grow back?

If it's not related to the infection should grow back.He might have just broke a nail.

Was the skin infection where the nail was? How does the skin look?

This is one of old pictures of my turtle..

He lost all his middle nails and the nails didn't grow back.. I'm not sure how it happen. Maybe by infection. But he managed to survive and do all his routine normally.

My turtle is missing a nail on each of the hind legs. It is the "pinky" nail. So he only has 4 nails on both hind legs. Always been like that, never has affected him.

Caphits, this is true of all RES/aquatics. The nail is either nonexistent or very underdeveloped.

Azfar, has that area totally healed? (I still see some white.)
