Ok, I've relaxed some since I figured out what was causing the burps. I heard something yesterday that sounded like it might have been a burp but it didn't sound the same as the other times. Now, Rocks is on her dock, making the same noises and she let me get a close look. She's sneezing. I don't get it. No other symptoms...what now?

Ok I left the room for a minute and my husband said he saw her sneeze and he saw bubbles in her mouth. He said it looked more like just spit than mucus. I'm wondering if this is what she's been doing all along and I mistook it for burping because that's what it looked like underwater? I took her out and got a look at her but she won't open her mouth for me. Eyes are clear, no bubbles from the nose. She's been sneezing about 5 or 6 times a minute now.

GO TO THE VET, i got so scared once when (omg) toad wasnt eating for 1 week, but, after an agonizing week, he ate again. I advise you to at least inform your vet about the symtoms, he will have the best answer.

During the summer, both my RES did a croaking/burp that would last a few minutes (when they were out of water). My female RES also burped underwater as well and she occasionally had mucus in her mouth which I believe was due the warmer water and basking temps. There were no other symptoms of anything.
Is she active and has an appetite? How is Pandora? It's hard to conclude that there is an illness, though you do have a good vet and you might want to give them a call in the morning for their opinion. I'm not sure if any tests/blood work will be able to provide any answers, but they may put your mind at ease

Pandora is fine. They're both eating like pigs and very active. The vet's going to get sick of me

I'm going to call him this morning and see what he says. I won't worry too much unless she slows down or stops eating I guess.
