How big is your turtle? 1 1/2"
How long have you had it? 3 weeks

What is the water temperature? 78-80
Did you use a thermometer? No
Are you using a water heater? Yes
How much water is in there? 2 Gallon
Are you using a water conditioner?
Are you using any filtration? Yes

What is the basking temperature?
Is there a basking light? Yes
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on? Yes
What kind is it or what is it made out of? Ornament Rock
Is there a UVB light? Yes

What have you been trying to feed it? Reptile Premium Sticks
When was the last time your turtle ate? Last night

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure? 5 Gallon
Is the tank near a window? No
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity? No

Have you read the Basic Care section? Yes
Have you searched the forums for similar situations? Yes

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms? The turtle seemed to be basking alot lately.

I have noticed this growing white spot on the left thumb of the turtle. A similar spot is noted on his tail.

I think I see one on the right leg as well (small whitish blister-looking area about half way up the leg). Looks like some sort of infection.

When did you first notice the spots? Since it appears to be spreading, it would be good to have him examined by a herp vet.

im not an expert ... but do u use any meds in water? like methylene etc ... maybe its because of poor water quality! ... try changing water more often like twice a week or so and if u can get filtered water will b better ... and basking light and UVB shuld b atleast 12 inches away frm the dock i think


btw yr turtle is exact same like mine *almost*

I went out and got Turtle sulfa dip from zoomed. It said it treats bacterial infection.

I tried it last night and the white spot on the tail peeled off. I am going to do the whole treatment for him and hopefully he will heal!

excellent! ... am glad it helped u .. i have also ordered it frm my bro :D i hope my turtle`s whitish prob gets resolved too :)
