Alright, let's start off by listing info about my tank =P:
- 2 res (about 7.5 cm)
-feeder guppies
-neon tets
-3 tiny 1 cm piclo
-ghost shrimp
-some horn wort plants
-20g tank(filled to 19g)
-aqua-tech 20-40
-100w heater maintaining 78 F
-float deck(the ones with suction cups)
-work desk lamp that gives off heat

So here's my problem =( i have 2 RES and one of them is very active. It eats according to what i feed him( no more then his head size) but there was a time when i over fed them until i found this forums so i don't know if that is a problem. The second RES just hangs around the bottom of my floating deck in a tight squeeze and not moving.I lay food it doesn't bother with it until i take it out of the hidden place and then he eats. I'm planning to get a uvb and uva lighting to replace my current desk lamp for basking purposes. HELP!!!! Sincerely, Allan

P.S i use rocks that are smaller then their head(i know that's bad) and i'm gonna change that too

There are too many possibilities to say for sure. Here are a few of them:
1. She ate some rocks and is stopped up. Is she pooping normally?
2. She is being bullied by her tank mate and is afraid to come out.
3. She has RI or some other infection and is feeling bad.
4. She has an exceptionally shy personality.
5. etc.

The tank is really too small for them. At 7.5 centimeters each (around 3 inches) the tank should be around 60 gallons (10 gallons per inch rule). But as they are growing, you should think about an even larger tank than 60 gallons because they would outgrow it in no time.

On the other hand, if one of them is intimidating the other, you may need to separate them, in which case you'd need two tanks but they wouldn't have to be as large.

If I were you I'd take the rocks out ASAP. That's an easy thing you can do to make sure something really bad doesn't happen to one of them.

Does the lethargic one show any other symptoms? Swollen or irritated eyes, breathing with her mouth open or frequent yawning, mucus around the mouth or nose, swimming lopsided or difficulty submerging? How long has she been lethargic?
