Hey everyone, I've been lurking around for a while now, this forum has been extremely helpful.

Now its my turn to ask a quick question. My female turtle of about 8 years just finished laying her first batch of eggs ever. I counted about 5 eggs before she covered up her nest. The thing is, after she finished, I let her roam around for a little, then picked her up for a quick bath. As I was holding her, another egg pops out and by then I'm freaking out. After the egg pops out, theres some liquid that leaks as well; no stench from the liquid, just a little yellowish white-ish.

This happened for once more after this, and I inspect the front of her rear leg to make sure theres no more eggs ready to come out. She's resting in her tank right now; haven't seen her eat like that in many years haha. But anyway, my question is, was it normal to have an "egg aftershock"? And about the liquid, is it possible an egg burst within her? I'll be monitoring her for these next few days, and I'll continue letting her roam around the yard just in case.

The liquid is normal, seen my turtles do that to while laying too. I dont think its a burst egg. As for not burrying the other eggs. Who knows why they do that but id say thats normal too. I had turtles do that too.

Sounds good, thanks. Good to have a little reassurance. Never knew egg laying would be this nerve racking!
