Any sort of nasal issues are likely caused by a respiratory infection. Have you seen mucus coming from the nose? Have you seen nose bubbles form when in the water during breathing? Have you seen any open-mouth breathing? These are key indications of a respiratory infection, which is almost always fatal without a vet and antibiotics. Other symptoms include lethargy and a lack of eating.

Can you further describe your setup and the issues you are seeing?

How are they swimming? Do they spend most of their time basking? How're their eyes? I also think it's an RI, which usuallu by the time you can notice it requires medicine from a vet (turtles, unfortunately for their owners, can hide illness for some time).

If they are fine otherwise, happy, moving around, eating, being normal, it may have just been a random occurrence. I suppose it's possible that the water is evaporating weird in the turtle's nose when they are basking? Right now, just keep a close watch for any bad symptoms, like lethargy, excessive basking, lack of eating, etc.
