My res is choking on something. He's acting normal now but it just happened. He keeps trying swallow like it's stuck in his throat. I have fed him to see if it would help whatever it is go down. He ate everything up. Now he keeps throwing up the food whole and it is making a squeaking sound when it comes back up. then he eats it up again. What should i do?
Is it possible he has eaten something that he can't digest? Do you keep gravel or large fish in your tank? I would remove any food you may have in there now. Is this something that has just happened suddenly?
Also, how does he act out of water? I'm not sure what he could be having a reaction to, if it continues I would definitely get him to a vet.
There are river rocks, about the same size as him. That's all. He acts fine out of water. In fact i took him out and put food in front of him and he ate it then i put him in the water and he swallowed it. He is basking right now is I type.
I think what your turtle is really doing is taking a bite of something, spits it back out and eats it again. On your first post, I thought you were describing your turtle actually throwing up acidic material.
