Urgent Care :: floating and not eating

I had him for about 5 months and is about 1.2 inches long.
Before he used to always beg for food now he does not eat.I let him bask in the sun on weekends. He looks does not look like he is starving he just lays down or sleep

Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on? none
What kind is it or what is it made out of? plastic cage
Is there a UVB light? no i take him outside

What have you been trying to feed it? reptomin food sticks
When was the last time your turtle ate? 3 or 2 weeks ago

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure? medium
Is the tank near a window? yes
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity? no

Floating is probably not a good sign. I would get him to a vet.

There isnt any herp vets in my area

What is the temp of the water and basking area? If they're too cool, he'll become lethargic and won't want to eat. And he'll be susceptible to a respiratory infection.

i take him outside for the sun on weekends

his water temp is about 60 degrees

Way too cold. It should be like 78-81. Get a water heater, they are not too expensive. Only around $20. My guess with that temperature is a Respiratory Infection. Which requires a vet.

i should the old water that was for an aquarium and add some warm water

Well, that still doesnt make sense to me, but... Yeah, you need to get that temp up. You could add warm water, but be careful you don't burn your turtle.

a water heater and thermometer is really necessary. adding "warm" water is not accurate enough to get the precise temps that these animals require. The water will also quickly lose its heat and you'll be back where you started.

Ok, you need to get a basking dock, and a UVB bulb. I dont think that a few hours on weekends is good enough. Also, you said that you DONT have a water heater before. Unless you got one super recent, you need to make sure you do get one.

He really needs some way to get out of the water completely. It is essential for shell health.

Also, what does "medium" mean? How about a size in gallons.

You could try feeding him something other than reptomin. You could try some veggies.
