I haven't been around much - still recovering from the storm and everything, but I need some help -
I have noticed that the last 2-3 days Izzy has been non-stop basking and not eating. These are the only 2 things that are different - there are no other signs of RI. She has been just hanging around under her dock when she is in the water and that is usually after I have put her back in after inspecting her shell, legs - anything else. She stays there maybe 5 minutes then it is straight back to basking.
I came home tonight and checked on her and decided to check to see if she may have eggs. I *think* there may be some there. I looked on the main site and felt where instructed and it feels like there may be eggs.
Will she act like that if she is gravid?
I can't really say about digging as she isn't ever in the water long enough. She isn't restless or anxious at all, but not necessarily lethargic.
I thought of getting her big rubbermaid and putting the sand/soil mix in it and then putting her in there and seeing if that is maybe the cause.
How long at a time should I do that or how many times a day? I would hate to have her in her 'water home' while I am at work and she lay her eggs in the water and something happen.
