Urgent Care :: HELP !!! My turtle attack other turtles's tale

I have two turtles their old around one and a half year, but one of them grow fast and now the big one attack the small turtle tail, yesterday i buy new aquarium 150L but again.
How can i stop big turtle to attack samall ???

Seen numerous similar posts on this subject, and it appears that separating them is the only solution.

Yeah, the only solution is to put the little turtle in the old smaller tank.

The small turtle is probably smaller because the large one ate more of the food, if you were feeding them in the same tank at the same time.

As for the wound, get a q-tip (paper stick with a bit of cotton on the end) and some neosporin (anti-bacterial stuff for human cuts), and put that on his tail, keep him out of the water for a bit til the neosporin stuff soaks into the wound, and keep the water he's in very, very clean so it can heal.

I was faced with a similar problem. I would reccommend you separate them. I used a piece of egg crate (that white plastic that goes over a 4 foot flourescent fixture).

off topic but i have that same phone and my turtles are just a litle bigger than your big one, i also had a problem with one being bigger than the other, its probably not recommended but, i fed the smaller one more until it caught up in size, although i wasnt giving it absurd amounts more food, maybe two or three extra pellets and he soon caught up in size

oh and i agree with the seperation, no turtle should ever have to go through what youre little one has

You could divide that nice big tank with something like egg crate, like Bradmeisel did, or let one turtle have the big tank and the other the smaller tank. One way or the other though, they need to live apart.

Have you put antibiotic ointment on the little one's wound? Dab a little and keep him out of the water for awhile to let it soak in. Repeat once or twice a day. While the wound heals you must keep the water very clean. Make sure he can still poop ok.
