Posted: Mon Oct 20, 2008 5:03 pmMy babby RES sleeps a lot durring the day. Is this normal? It also only eats the heads off rosy Red Minnows. Nothing else. It wont eat anything else.

When you say your turtle sleeps a lot, is it in the water or on the basking area?
What are the temps of the basking area and water?
Does the tank have a submersible heater in it? A UVB light and heat source?
What other foods have you been trying to feed your RES?

thats just napping, when he sleeps on the basking dock, completely normal, and good that hes getting good basking time.
