Hi Everyone

You may need to look up his name- Diego or my user name- Cage69 to see the history, but Diego has finally died. I brought him home with his 2 other brothers about 8 months ago and he has been sickly since. At first I took him to the vet because I thougt he had a RI, but I am pretty sure it was not only a RI but also some sort of parasite infection (advice I got from this web site). He didn't grow at all but stayed alive for 8 months. In the end I kept him by my bed in a box in a small dish of water (he couldn't be trusted in water he could drown in).

Anyway, for anyone out there that had responded to my cries for help with him, I just wanted to thank you. I did what I could and in fact, he lived longer than most thought he would.

I always dismissed people's emotions for their pets, never again.

I remember your story from before. It's heartbreaking that in the end Diego didn't make it but I'm absolutely positive your kind attentions made his life longer and better. You are probably right - he had a number of problems. When that happens, there's often no treatment that can save them. You should take comfort in knowing that you did what you could, and you did the right thing.

I hope the two others are doing well. When you can, why don't you share a photo of them with us.

Sorry to hear diego didn't make it, he really put up a good fight, and you certainly did your best for him.
I'm glad to hear that your other two are doing well, it sounds like Diego just had too many complicating factors going on... I hope that whatever he had didn't spread to the other two.

I'm really sorry to hear you lost him. Sometimes we do all we can, and in spite of our best efforts, they don't make it. :(
