Urgent Care :: ramos booty

so i have a RES, his name (or her) is ramo. i was jus playin with him for a bit and put him in the tank, he was floatin around and i noticed alot of dead skin? around the anal area, i dunno if its skin or fecal stuff or wat. but i wanted to ask because i know not alot about these amazing pets. he doesnt seem bothered, cuz hes swimming around happily at the bottom of the tank. thanks in advance!

It sounds like he's probably just shedding, which is completely normal.
If you can see the skin flakes out of the water you may have a fungal issue but if you're just seeing little strands when he's wet it's fine.
