Hey everyone,

Just a quick Q. My little guy has been swimming/floating tilted. Not to the left or the right, but to the front with his butt higher than his head at times.

His appetite is ok, he pooped today and there are no bubbles or snotts or anything that would implement RI. He was just at the vet 2 weeks ago and all was well.

I remember reading a similar article on the forums about maybe being gas(lol) or just the buoyancy from being so small.

When a turtle swims with his rear higher than his head it typically is an indication of some sort of digestive tract problem, namely gas. Does he eat a lot of lettuce or other plants? A very high fiber diet could do it. If he's eating lots of lettuce, why don't you try cutting him back just a bit and see if he straightens up.

For some reason that made me chuckle.

How is he doing now?

He seems to be doing all right now. I'm thinking it was a mix of gas, the water current, and him being so small.

How strong is the current in the tank?
