ok im need help remember crush well today i went to school and he was swimming and i came back now and he anit moving i found out that his heater got disconnected and his water was very cold. is he hiabernating or please dont tell me his dead. when i found him his head was up and i took him out and he still anit moving help

crush is dead i put him in the sun and keeped him warm but still nothing.

I'm sorry to hear this, but it does sound like he is dead. Remember crush for the good things. Take some time to think about it before you make any other moves on a pet to make sure you make the right choice. Some times in a hard time we make rash decisions so be careful.

I am sorry about crush, but the fact is that most baby RES don't make it because they are not taken care of very well before you get them.

I'm really sorry to hear this. It sounds like the wounds from the dog were more extensive than thought or perhaps an infection set in. (Did you try putting Crush in luke warm shallow water?) You tried your best, though, and I'm sure Crush was grateful to you for it.

well crushes burial was yesterday his time of death was August 2, 2005 10:20. now this house is empty and i have a big tank thats 55 gallons. i still got little nick and im ganna make sure nothing happens to s/he. can i but little nick in crushes big tank?? he is 1 1/2 inches and ganna be 1 year old. well at least i know i tried my best. May crush rest in peace.

how was the heater disconnected? i think you need to explain to your family how RES should be cared for.

when my mom cleans she moves things and i guess she move the connection part and disconnected it. it was a extention cord that the heater was connected to. but im not going to blame my mother she loved my turtle

i wasn't suggesting that someone should be blamed but they should be extra careful around turtles and their setups.

Nick is a RES or another aquatic? He could be put in the empty tank. I'd clean it well before putting him in it, though. He's a year old and 1.5 inches? What is he being fed?

Nick is a res and yea he is going to be a year old and yes 1.5 inches. i feed him pellets slices of carrots and apples and pretty much anything i put in his tank. oh yea and like every two weeks i give him some fish.

maybe its just me, but doesn't that seem small for a year old?? I got mine last July and they are like 3.5 to 4".. I was afraid mine grew too fast. So what is normal for a yearling???

At a year, if a turt is around 3-3.5 inches, that's good. Some people, though, say their turts are way over four inches at that age, and it's most likely the result of overfeeding.

1.5 inches is a little small...how was the turt measured? And how much is he being fed?

well i get the ruler and start from the top to the end of the shell. i give nick like 2 and 1/2 pellets in the morning and then at night. in the afternoon i give him his vegetables and then i give him his fish every two weeks.
