THANK GOD!! my turtle snapped out of it..it started moving again so i cut up some turtle food from Petsmart and it munched a a piece!!! and then it started pooping like crazy..maybe it was just constipated?
I just woke up right now to find that my baby turtle did not make it through the night. But still..I'm happy for it because it got so much attention yesterday..if only I paid more attention throughout the months that I had it..but now..it is at a better place..
Im very sorry to hear about your turtle. But for the future please remember that turtles will not drown!! Not even the babies. I have been to a couple pet store where they have the baby turtles in the same living conditions as you, thinking they will drown and it breaks my heart. Even when I tell the employees that they need more water they don't listen. One time I was at a pet store where they had a computer with the internet at the front cash register where they were e-mailing and browsing the web so I told them to come to this website and read about how to properly care for turtles in the pet store so people do not purchase these cute little guys thinking that this is good enough for them to live in. They may tell them that they will grow 12 inches but they do not tell them that they need huge tanks with all the trimmings. They love to swim and the more water the better...
