Oh, I just saw that Zeke is a big boy...lol! You'll probably need more than 2 cups of water. Well, it's one dropper full for each 2 cups of water, if you decide to soak him.

LOL! Yep Zeke is a big boy. The vet also recommended I could try Baby Vitamins! But didn't know if Turtle Vitamins may be more appetizing to him...but I like the soaking idea. I will do that when I get home from work.

I have done that, and it really seems to help... I didn't know they had turt vitamins. Since the Poly-Vi-Sol Drops are for infants, they're a good alternative for turts - and Vitamin A is the top ingredient.

The Poly-Vi-Sol liquid vitamins are fine. I've also heard of some people using avian liquid vitamins (for birds).

Can you give a little more info on your set-up, and your turts; age/size? Any other symptoms?

well at the moment i'm working on my ten gallon tank setup with a filter and a basking pad. my only issue with that at the moment is trying to figure out how to get the water temp up. it's at 75-76 right now. i just got my turtle a couple weeks ago and he's a couple inches long. at the moment he's in a little portable tank with a basking light and about 2-3 inches of filtered well water. no other symptoms except it almost looks like he's got a little bit of skin flaking off on one leg and around his eye. but his skin looks healthy other than that. my other turtle just died from what i think was ri.

What's the temp of your basking area? Do you have a UVB bulb?

Oh..no, we're not supposed to use tap water? So i'm thinking distilled water is okay? I've noticed that my turtle blinks a lot when he's in AND out of the water. Is this natural?

It's called "Reptisafe" and removes chlorine and ammonia, while adding electrolytes to the water. Uses 1 teaspoon for each 5 gallons of water.

Can I get it at any petstore? For example, PJ's Pet Store?

I would think so... you can also check at WalMart in the aquatic/pet section.
