Urgent Care :: Smaller turtle biting larger turtles feet

Separate them as soon as you are able to. My two had on and off agression issues and it took until the big one bit a chunk out of the little ones shell before I finally realized I had to act! I feel lucky it wasnt worse and meant a trip to a vets!. I know...it is sad when you really want them to get along.

Well,I don't have anywhere to put Bubbles besides this pink bucket thingy,and I would seperate them and put eggcrate down the middle but my tank is too small for that.

My 4 inch male RES occasionally nips at his "roomates" feet. Of course, his mate is a 7 inch female RES. They have also been courting each other. I haven't separated them and they are doing fine. They swim together, occasionally bask on the floating dock together, and even take "walks" together on the patio.

When I was still keeping my turts together, my girlfriend caught Chimpy biting chompy's foot.

when she grabbed Chompy to get her out of trouble, Chimpy was still hanging from her foot. That was one of the last ten straws.

Well,they've started fighting a little more lately,but they seem fine.One moment they'll be fighting and then the next moment they'll just be swimming around being happy.

Sorry Turtlelover it's time too seperate them now. Before the fighting gets worse and you come home too a dead or even worse case 2 dead turtles. I know your parents don't want another tank, how would they feel about rushing one or both of your turtles too the vet because they are bleeding from lost limbs, or large cuts?
Time too post an add too give one away, it's sad but you have too be responsible when you own a pet. When I was 13 I had a mini zoo in my room, I worked baby siting and spent my allowence on their food and supplies(cages ect.)
Please before one gets hurt seperate them now.

turtlelover, if you really are a turtle lover (which I think you are) you will separate your little ones.

It will take less than a split second for a disaster to happen.

Do something now, while the damge done is still small.
