Did you get the Nolvasan full strength or already diluted? It should tell you on the label, or if not, someone at the vet's office should have told you.

I think the kicking and arching was more from the use of the (soft) tooth brush and (gentle) scrubbing, plus being handled again, than the Nolvasan. (I'm assuming none got into the eyes, etc.)

I just spoke with the vet, and she said I could dilute it 1:4 with water to start... so I am guessing that what she gave me was undiluted.

We will have to see how it goes tonight when we try again!

AquaClear 110 is on the way, thanks for the advice Marisa.

You're welcome.

BTW, you're going to really see (and hear) a waterfall with the 110, so consider making that plexiglass lip. Hardware stores will often cut plexiglass (the one near me has a splendid cutter). What I did was to take exact measurements of the filter's lip across and I decided how long I wanted the lip to extend. You have to decide on the water depth and whether you want the plexiglass to actually extend into the water a little. Whatever you do, it's good to round the edges that will be near/in the water so your turtle doesn't accidently get poked. There's also an optional way to quiet the waterfall on the site somewhere.

The filter will also be more effective if you get the intake as close to the bottom of the tank as possible. I think an extra piece of tube comes with the 110 (or used to). When you upgrade the tank, you can use the filter as a supplement if you eventually decide to get a canister filter.
