kshroff, I'm going to put a message in the other thread to the effect that you're trying to get in touch. The other person has found a vet that was willing to provide at least some level of treatment but apparently didn't know what was required for a turtle. You all need to work with the same vet.

Thanks a lot for ur help guys.. Yeste I went to a aquarium shop, n they gave a liquid in which to soak Pebbles.. Its some anti-fungal thing for white spots n infections.. I put Pebbles in it over night , but today mornin he was stiff.. He's stil not eatin..

I messaged "Mushroom" but he/she's stil not replied.. Pebbles looks very very weak.. He just kinda moves his arms n limbs when i put him in water, then somehow finds the rock n climbs back on it n lies there..

I wish he gets well soon.. Am feelin so bloody helpless right now..

I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. I put a comment in mushroom's thread saying you need to communicate with him/her but I guess he/she hasn't checked back in. I wish there was something to tell you that would help.

Since Pebbles is ill it's best to keep him separate from Bubbles in case it's contageous. Keep both of them warm and very clean and try not to stress them. Make sure Bubbles is getting plenty to eat as this will help her fight off infection.

I'll be thinking about you and your turtles and hoping for the best. Please let us know how it goes.

hey kshroff- sorry to hear you're still struggling. I hope there's no reason to worry about bubbles; sometimes turtles are really good at hiding any symptoms though until they get real sick like Pebbles. I hope bubbles doesn't get it.

Do your turtles have a place to dry off and bask now under a nice warm heat lamp and UVB lamp? I dont know if this would help Pebbles at this point or not. It may spark some kinda appetite and her to eat a lil something.

Have u tried dippig the food in tuna or something smelly to get her attention?

I'm really sorry to hear that. :( Baby turtles can be very difficult to take care of sometimes. Without a good turtle vet, it's hard to help them when they get that sick. Well, you still have Bubbles and now you can spend more time with him and keeping him healthy and happy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Like David said, the little ones are delicate and so often we've seen that they are ill when people bring them home because the conditions they were kept in were not clean, but they don't show symptoms until after their new person gets attached to them, and then it's too late.

Good luck with bubbles. I know you'll make a great home for him/her.

Yeah I agree, it wasnt your fault man, it was the people who sold them to you fault. I have some advice I want to give you though, if your thinking of getting another turtle in the future, dont..aside from begging for food, turtles arent very social, they dont enjoy company and would prefer to be alone, which isnt too bad considering the fact that its going to save you alot of $$$ in the long run. Agression, seperation? No need to worry about that if you have only one turtle. Normally a 120 gallon tank wouldnt be adequate for two adult turtles, but with one - it will last you for life! See my point? Anyways, I hope the best for bubbles and you :)

That's a very good point. It's natural to want to get more than one baby but it's much better if you only keep one. It's next to impossible to part with any RES so once you have more than one, you'll have no choice but to dish out hundreds of dollars to care for both of them. That's literally twice what you would spend on one and probably even more because you are doubling your chances of having to bring a sick turtle to the vet and now risking both turtles getting sick. If you have the money, space and time for it that's great but otherwise stick with one. :)
