so i dont know what has been going, ive cut back on pellets and introduced more foods like romaine and carrots and a couple grapes every once and a while.

in my opinion i think the pinking color in his shell is even worse than before, and the pink spreads out from a darker part in the center of a couple scutes.

i dont dont see any improvement, should i go to the vet?

If so i heard somewhere that it means that theyre is blood, but im not sure.My turtles had the same thing yours had minus the pink in the seams. My vet said it was from lack of beneficial vitamins and UVB,he also said that city water can tinge turtles shell.

Some foods like shrimp can tinge the shell too,and overfeeding like greygoose said.

sorry i never noticed this reply before, but did the pink in the shells get better, or...

I think you should go to the vet. I would if I were feeling unsure as to whether my turtle was ok or not.

yes he has been basking, i catch him at least once a day but of course he takes right off a soon as i get anywhere near the tank, so i am assuming he basks while im at school when he has privacy.

Not to be a downer but my turtle had those same symptoms, i turns out it was overfeeding. She was greedy and took theother turtles food, cause of it, she got too fat, had those same colors...and died.

But still, if you start treating and taking care of him early, Your turtle should turn out ok.
