She ate 2 small nails that were stuck in her stomach. They must have come out of her log when she bit at it or something. When the vet saw it, he said that they were stuck and would probably pierce her stomach or rust and get infected. When you build things for your turtle enclosure make sure to build them safely. I have certainly learned a valuable and sad lesson.

I took the pictures of Frankie off because there is no reason to keep them up now.

I'm just so sorry. If it's at any consolation at all, perhaps reading about what happened will help prevent another turtle from suffering the same fate.
