You have to keep trying it and other foods.

How's ur little guy doing? Has he eaten yet? Try just leaving some food for him on the dock. Or try floating pellets, and poke them a little with a chopstick or something to make ur turt interested from the movement. Hope ur still giving him soup until you see him actually eat.

Well. His eyes are opened a lot more now and he is active! To be honest I never expected him to make it this long. :( I haven't seen him eat, but I often see him walking along the bottom of the tank where the pellets and worms all end up. He no longer opens his mouth for me so I just leave a dot on his mouth slit and set him on his basking area hoping that at least some gets in to his mouth. I'm giving him 3 dif foods every day and am going to try more fish today. He still is shy when I hold them in front of his face, I think all of the movement stresses him out. He wasn't able to see for some time. So I am just setting the food in there and leaving him be. I sit there watching him for a while after I drop the food in, just hoping that he will go after some thing. I think that every thing will come in time. :)

I would even try to clip down the fish for him and give him some space. Eating is really the most important thing he should be doing now.

Well. I half killed a fish and let it flop slightly in front of him but still no luck. I am going to leave it in there until morning along with a live fish. My hopes are that the live fish will eventually catch his interest and that he will go for the half dead one if he can't catch it.

Well. He won't eat fish. But when I wake up in the morning and turn on the lights I notice that some of the pellets that I dropped in the day before are in tiny pieces scattered on the bottom while others are still whole. I've determined that he must be eating them at night when all of the lights are off. Other wise I doubt that he would have made it this long.

Pellets deteriorate easily, I wouldn't be so sure he's eating. What treatments have you been using/trying?

Nothing any more. He seems healthy. Minus the fact that I don't see him eat. He is active, no longer opens his mouth to breath, eyes are open. He is getting larger and is acting fairly normal. He plays, swims around, basks. How long can a baby live with out eating? It has been almost a month now I think.

Never mind! Tune did the trick this time! I dropped in a thin slice of carrot hoping to see some bite marks and added a few drops of tuna juice in the water on top of it. I noticed him looking around so I decided to drop in a small bit of actual tuna. 20 min later he was swimming around attacking the tuna like crazy. He still won't eat any veggies though. At least I saw him eating!!! Yay! :)

Great to hear! Try to dip some pellets into the tuna water and let it dry up a bit.

Lol. Thanks I was wondering how to solve them turning to soup when I dropped them in.
