Immediately separate. Dry dock and neosporin should help.

Keep warm out of water until neosporin or anti biotic ointment sets in (30-45min). If you could answer questions it would be helpful. Keep water super clean.

I dont know when the tail was bitten off and it looks like it is scabbing over still put neosporing on it?

ok I just measured them the bigger one with tail bitten off is 7in the smaller one is 6in I have the bigger one in my mop busket for now with neosporin on her tail

Make sure the temp is 78 degrees. And give her a towel or something the bury herself in as to not stress her out. If she eats and seems to be active and is pooping ok, she will probably be ok. Keep an eye on get wound area and reapply the neosporin 3-4 times daily. It sounds like your tank is a bit too small. There are less expensive temporary solutions. Good luck

ok she is still in my bucket will she be ok in bucket overnight without water?

Yes but make sure the temp is warm enough and give her a towel to hide in. She needs to be in water to eat. A large plastic container makes a great cheap tank. How is she acting otherwise?

she is acting normal she is mad at me for putting her in the mop bucket but I gave her a piece of flannel and a hand towel to keep her warm for the night also beeb putting neosporin on her tail (kids neosporin foam)and I turned up the heat in the house to help her and when I get my car back I will go get her a container she can be in with water the other one looks like it misses her been searching the tank for her and is having a hard time finding her LOL

Put her in water 78 degrees for at least 15-30 min twice a day. Even using the bucket will be ok for now. The temp needs to be 75 degrees. She doesn't produce any heat so a flannel won't keep her warm just hidden. If the temp in your house is 72 it should be ok but if you could check the temp in the bucket with a thermometer that would be best. I wish you and your title the best.

she is eating and being active and I have been putting neosporin on her tail and she has been in the water and dry docked like you said to do. but my next question is how long do I do this with her tail and would I be able to put them back together? cause the other one is searching for her and has made the tank a horrible mess since I took her out. Or should they be kept seperated from now on?

Once the agression has started, I wouldn't put them back together. It is highly likely that another attack would happen if you did.
